SET UP PRINTER ACCOUNT
Have you arrived safely at the Velt Studio and are setting up your workstation? Then you may have a few minutes to connect your computer to the printer so that you can use it whenever you need it. Below you will find step-by-step instructions for installing our office printer. If you have any questions during the setup process, please contact the Velt Studio team.

Before you start, however, a little information in advance: Each print is recorded by volume tracking and invoiced collectively every six months at the following prices.

MAC INSTALLATION GUIDE
STEP 1: INSTALL DRIVER
Send an e-mail to hello@velt.studio and ask for your print account. You will receive a name and a password.
Find out the operating system on the Mac to be installed under 'About this Mac' (MacOS 12,13,14)
Here: https://www.konicaminolta.de/de-de/support/download-center select and download the appropriate driver for your operating system. Enter the following product name: bizhub C251i.
Navigate to 'Drivers' and select your Mac's operating system.
Navigate to 'Download', accept the 'License terms' and download the .dmg. file.
.dmg. Download file by double-clicking and then search for an installation folder with the following name: bizhub_Colour_Series (normally the folder can be found in the Finder at the bottom left or directly on the desktop)
Install .pkg installation file from the bizhub_Colour_Series folder
STEP 3: PERFORM TEST PRINT
Select range 1 to 1
Click 'Print' and check if it worked
Did the test print work? DONE!
This default setting is for 1-page documents in A4 format in black and white. If you want to change the individual parameters, you can always change this in the options and save new presets. It is only important that if parameters are to be changed, they are always changed from the default setting 'VeltStudioA4_sw'
For the printing process, it is important that you always print from the 'System dialog', which means that your saved presets must always be visible for printing to work
Explanation of the paper trays: Paper tray 1: A4 recycled printing paper, paper tray 2: A4 printer paper, paper tray 3: A3 printer paper
STEP 2: ADD PRINTER
Search for system settings in the Finder
Navigate to printer and scanner
Add 'Konica bizhub C251i' as a new printer and confirm
A window with settings opens automatically, set the following parameters here: 'Paper Source Unit: PC 216', 'Finisher: FS 533', 'Punch Unit: PK-519 (2/4 holes)', uncheck 'allow public user', confirm with 'okay'.
Open the .readme folder from the installation folder downloaded at the beginning and open one of the .readme files and press 'cmd P' (we will use this file as a test print)
select 'Printer Options' in the opened printer window (if the item 'Printer Options' is not available, it may be found under 'Options' or 'more')
Navigate to 'Output Mode' (or 'Output Method'): check 'Volume Tracking', enter print account name and password (you received the name and password from Velt), select 'Remember settings', confirm settings with 'OK'.
Navigate to Layout/Finishing: Set '1 Sided'.
Navigate to the paper tray: Set paper tray 1 (or 'Paper Tray 1')
Navigate to Quality: Set 'Grayscale' (or 'Greyscale'). Here you can also change to 'Auto-colour' if you want to print in color
At the top of the window under 'Save current setting as default' as e.g. 'VeltStudioA4_sw'
WINDOWS INSTALLATION GUIDE
STEP 1:
send an email to hello@velt.studio and ask for your print account
(IMPORTANT: Currently only Macs can connect via the printer network, Windows PCs must print directly to the printer via USB stick. You will also need an account for this)
drag the documents you want to print onto a USB stick (USB type A)
Log in to the printer with your password
a window opens automatically: select 'Print documents from external storage'
select your file
select 'Print
select your settings (e.g. black, paper tray 1, 1 page)
press the green button on the printer to initiate the printing process
after printing, press the Log in/Log out button
remove your USB stick
